Seiko 140th Anniversary
Kintaro Hattori was 21 years old when he founded his company in 1881. During his 50 years at the helm, Seiko became the leading watch manufacturer in Japan, with its own design and production facilities. This success was a direct result of Kintaro's clear vision that Seiko should "Always be one step ahead of the rest". His words still resonate and inspire within the company today. To add an extra dimension to Seiko's 140th anniversary, a series of four Limited Editions have been developed in the spirit of Kintaro to give a complete picture of Seiko's watchmaking expertise.
Concept
This 140th Anniversary series, with its silvery white dials and blue style elements, captures the beautiful image of a blue sky between silvery white clouds. The series includes a model from Seiko's four most representative collections: Prospex, Astron, Presage and Seiko 5 Sports.
Seiko Prospex SPB213J1
A modern reinterpretation of Seiko's very first diver's watch from 1965. The wide hands and the generous application of Lumibrite on the hands and index ensure excellent readability, while the screw-down crown and screw-down caseback guarantee 200 meters WR. The ergonomic design of the case and bracelet ensures that the watch rests comfortably on the wrist. This model is limited to a run of 6,000 pieces.

Seiko Presage SPB223J1
The Presage Sharp Edged Series case and bracelet are constructed from flat surfaces with sharp angles, making the watch shine from every angle. The case and bracelet are treated with a super-hard coating that protects against scratches and ensures optimum gloss retention. The dial features an Asanoha or hemp leaf pattern that has been used in Japanese fabrics and architecture for over a thousand years. The rich texture of the geometric pattern on the dial creates an infinite variety of hues as light passes over it at different angles. The watch is powered by the GMT automatic caliber 6R64. This model is limited to 3,500 pieces.

Seiko Astron SSH093J1
The case of this Astron GPS Solar creation has the same curved silhouette and wide strap attachment as the original Quartz Astron watch from 1969 (the world's first quartz wristwatch and still considered one of Seiko's most celebrated technological achievements). The technology is fully up-to-date with the GPS Solar Dual-Time 5X53 caliber, which automatically sets itself to the exact local time anywhere* in the world. The watch runs entirely on the power of light. It offers a range of advanced functions, including super-fast time zone adjustment and a 'Time Transfer' function. The dial is a pure light silver color with blue accents; the bezel is blue ceramic. This model is limited to a run of 1,400 pieces.
